Future of Finance – Data, Technology, Processes and Control
CFOs, Controllers, and finance teams are looking for the ability to evaluate and communicate business performance in a transparent and timely manner.
We observe the world of Finance is rapidly changing due to technology. Stakeholders request them to operate efficiently and effectively, to think over their business partner role, and to redefine their workforce. The future for Finance is to become agile and support driving sustainable business performance enabled by technology.
The skillset of the RC has a key role in supporting Finance management with decision-making, hence also navigating through changes and challenges. It is, therefore, essential for the RC to have a robust understanding of the Future of Finance and its developments.
For that, we have identified four subjects in the Future of Finance, and organized them among with our partner EY, in four sessions during the year that will be of interest.

These are:

1. Strategy & Alignment (incl ESG and long-term value)

2. Data, Technology, Process & Controls;

3. Talent & Culture;

4. Finance workforce & Sourcing.
   Second session: Data, Technology, Process & Controls
   18 April 2024 – 10:00 – 12:00

The focus of the second session will be on:
How technology is changing the finance function
Emerging technologies in finance (Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning)
Demo’s of use case of (Gen)AI in Finance
Discussion of case studies submitted by participants

This program is suitable for all finance professionals, including CFOs, Heads of Finance/Business Control, controllers, and others in the finance function.
This exclusive event is limited to just 25 members who possess a keen interest in the intersection of technology and finance. As part of the registration process, we kindly request that you provide a brief case study (no more than 200 words) outlining either:
The challenges you are currently facing with technology in the finance function
A successful implementation of technology within your organization
Any significant struggles encountered in navigating the landscape of tech and finance

During the session, Peter Plat, Özgür Güvenli, Jonathan Eggersman, Sven de Been and Justin Fieret from EY will be present for a dynamic exchange of ideas and insights. They will provide an outside-in view and can help guide you with the pivotal next steps around your case studies. The event will be entirely interactive, allowing for deep dives into topics of interest and fostering meaningful connections among participants.
